To Eliminate the Barriers that keep our Young People from Employment here in St James Parish
and we do that by identifying and funding educational tools for our young people,
cooperating with the St James Parish School Board to promote career and technical employment,
providing direct support to our job seekers with scholarships and employment-related expenses

Basic Skills Training & Certification
In February 2019, St James Parish received the recognition by American College Testing as a "Certified Work Ready Community".
Here in St James Parish our residents can access on-line training and certification testing in the basic skills of Math, Reading, Locating Information and other needed workplace education.
